...Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood.
I read this while I was travelling and at first I thought it was going to be awful, but it turned out better than anticipated. Still a little on the depressing side, but overall a decent read. I don't know that I would actually recommend it to a friend though.
I haven't really read any GREAT books lately. Books that really got me excited or talking. Do any of you have a book that really struck a chord with you? I ready My sister's keeper by Jodi Picoult a while back and told everyone I knew about it. I think that is the last book I have read that left me with that kind of feeling where I felt like others should read it.
Anyways... on to the next one for me...April's pick: Personal History by Katherine Graham. This came highly recommended so I am hoping it will be one of those books I will tell others about!
Hope you are all enjoying your books!!
Aaron...are you still with us?? Aren't you headed to New England sometime for a meet?? Let us know where you are!!

I haven't started this yet... Sorry. :)
I am about half of the way done... only a month behind. The first bit of the book is really, really sad. It is sad how people treat other people.
All the way finished. Yuck. It did turn out better the last 1/4 of the book. But, it was almost too little too late. Cordelia was horrible. Grace was horrible. The whole thing was a bit cruel. Honestly, why would you want to write this book? Very, Very sad.
I did find the Virgin Mary reference, when she was freezing and could have frozen, interesting.
I also found the brother's death interesting. Some of the politics were interesting, but she jumped around. It was really hard to pin down the era she came from at times... but maybe that was the point.
